<p>We are excited about your interest in joining the Sae Jong Camp team. Our camp has been in existence for over 35 years providing quality programming and incredible experiences to our campers. This has been possible only with the dedication and enthusiasm of our talented staff members. They have all shared our passion to achieve our camp’s mission: <strong>“To provide all Korean-American children the opportunity to explore their Korean-American identities, learn about their Korean heritage and make friendships to last a lifetime.”</strong></p>
<p>Sae Jong Camp is located on the grounds of <a href="http://campwestminster.com/">Camp Westminster</a>, a beautiful wooded parcel on the northern shore of <a href="http://goo.gl/maps/1WXqQ">Higgins Lake</a> near Roscommon, MI. The camp seems rustic to some, but has all the amenities a favorite camp experience can offer.</p>
<p><strong>Sae Jong Camp 2012 will be in session from</strong><br />
<strong> Sunday, August 4 through Saturday, August 10, 2013.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Staff members are required to attend mandatory pre-camp staff training from</strong><br />
<strong> Friday, August 2, 2013 and stay through Sunday, August 11, 2013.</strong></p>
<p><em>Please note that you must be 19 years old or more by August 1st in order to apply for a counselor or assistant counselor position.</em></p>
<p>Please read about our <a title="Download Staff Forms" href="http://www.saejongcamp.com/volunteer/download-staff-form/" target="_blank">staff roles &amp; responsibilities</a>. If you agree to accept the responsibilities, meet the staff requirements, are excited about joining our team, and committed to achieving our mission, then please complete our <a title="Staff Application" href="http://www.saejongcamp.com/volunteer/staff-application/" target="_blank">online staff application</a>. Please answer every question thoughtfully and thoroughly. Our decision will primarily be based on your responses and experience. (The number of available positions depends on the number of qualified returning staff members.) If you are interested in being a staff member, but unsure of your availability, please do go ahead and fill out the forms making that notation, so we can consider you in the event that you are available.</p>
<p>Upon receipt of your application, we will be contacting you for interviews via telephone and/or in-person with the camp director, and/or the staff screening committee. Be sure to have the professional references you list complete a reference form and have it sent to me as well.</p>
<p>If you know of any other prospective camp staff members, please refer them to to our <a title="Staff Application" href="http://www.saejongcamp.com/volunteer/staff-application/">online staff application form</a>. The camp staff committee will notify you of its decision shortly thereafter.</p>

<p>I am Kyle DiMaggio, the new staff chair, and I will be working in collaboration with Alys Shin. Jade Richards will be making her return as program director, as well as Doug Kim as camp director.</p>
<p>Summer is here, and we all know what that means&#8230;it&#8217;s time for camp! Sae Jong Camp will be celebrating 38 years of great fun and memories.</p>
<p>The Camp Directors and Board look forward to another great year fulfilling our mission: &#8220;To provide all Korean American children the opportunity to explore their Korean American identities, learn about their Korean American heritage and make friendships to last a lifetime.&#8221;</p>
<p>That being said, it&#8217;s time to get our staff together. As this year&#8217;s staff chairperson. I would like to invite you to join us on staff once again.<strong> SJC 2013 will be held August 4th to August 10th, 2013. Mandatory pre-camp staff training would begin promptly on August 2rd, 2013</strong>. Also keep in mind that being on staff requires planning and preparation in advance.</p>
<p>If you are up to the renewed challenge and excitement of joining the staff of Sae Jong Camp this year, please notify me at either address below. We depend on you for quality programming, excellent leadership, dedicated counseling, and all the talent you bring to camp each year that make it the awesome experience it is.</p>

<p>The returning staff applications are used for our records and legalities. Since you are being individually invited to return as a staff member, the interviewing process will not be required. However, pre-camp staff training is mandatory unless otherwise specifically arranged with the Camp Director. Your position will be secured by the completion of these documents. (Positions will be filled in the order of your responses.)</p>
